The Orlando Alumnae Chapter has been actively involved in numerous community activities since its charter on February 20, 1954. We participate in ongoing local and national programs within all five major thrusts of the Sorority - Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness, Physical/Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need. We are a private, non-profit organization who purpose is to provide services and programs to promote human welfare. The Grand Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has a membership of over 200,000 predominately African-American college-educated women.
